She published her first book at age 65, the start of the popular Bloodhound series of award-winning mystery novels that feature Jo Beth Sidden, including Blind Bloodhound Justice , Ten Little Bloodhounds , and A Bloodhound to Die For. Lanier died October 27, 2003 in Fargo, Georgia, at age 72.

This whole series is fantastic.
I didn't find this book worth my time. I gave it two stars because there we some interesting characters but I did not finish the book.
Very good book. Virginia Lanier did not disapoint in the 2nd book of the Bloodhound series. The tension builds through the story. I love Jo Beth Siddons. She has her flaws but she is a gutsy - go after what you want type gal. She is a bit over defensive with regards to her tracking business and the different police departments but all and all she is a great main character.
