There is no mistaking that this author is a very skilled writer. There is just something about the way that she writes that gives the characters and their story a chance to shine. This book and the premise could have been cheesy. It isn't like that at all though. Instead, there was a touch of realism to the story that gave it a vulnerability as well as making it feel authentic.

I liked watching these characters navigate their feelings and the journey they found themselves on. Emotions and uncertainty were definitely at play in this book. I was completely involved with the story and these characters as I waited to see how the future would turn out with everything that was coming to light and how they were as a couple. However, the ending seemed to pick up the pace and felt rushed. It did give me a happily ever after but I just felt like it could have been fleshed out more.

I had not read the previous book and was not lost in any way. If anything, it just made me want to go back and read Knox's story now.… (más)

I wasn't keen.
At the start we are told the Hero just slept with his ex, he's not back with her and knows it's not a good idea but it's just sex. There's no detail but it put me off.
So he's just been with his ex and the heroine has just broken it off with her boyfriend of 10 years before travelling and meeting up with the Hero. It just seemed a bit fast, at the same time they are rekindling old feelings that were never acted on.
Ex drama. The heroine's ex, Luke feels things are unresolved.
His hook up contacts him by phone.
No cheating once the Hero and heroine are together.

Just Love is about a forbidden love that takes a turn for the worse. Wow, this book was so emotional, heartbreaking at times and other times quite funny, I didn’t know what I had let myself in for when reading the blurb as it gives absolutely nothing away, trust me you HAVE to read it!

Told in both Rhett and Ainsley’s point of views and from past and present. I found myself shouting out many times throughout, shouting at both Rhett and Ainsley, wanting to knock their heads together.

The character development and pace were perfect, as was the story, I felt like I knew all of the characters personally.

This is the first book I have read by Prescott Lane, but it definitely won’t be the last!
