I like the Q character, so this was a fun read. Not really engaging beyond that, and probably not for anyone who doesn't like Star Trek, but it was fun.
I like John de Lancie as an actor. I sometimes like him as an author. Not here. What the fuck was this book? This is a lesson in how not to write fantasy. I didn't get it, on any level. It was just awful. I hated reading it, and only completed it because I felt I had to.
