- Sanford "Sandy" Koufax is the great left-handed pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers/Los Angeles Dodgers. He won numerous awards during his career and then in 1972 was the youngest former player ever inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Among his many accolades was from Branch Rickey, who said Koufax had the greatest arm he had ever seen.
