When I was a little girl I was so envious of a friend of mine who had the "perfect girl" bedroom. Fast forward 50 years or so and now I dream of having my own she shed. I guess if you live in a huge house the idea of a she shed seems rather odd. But for those of us who live in 3 bedroom homes with zero storage space and even less privacy the idea of having our own little space is the most lovely idea ever. And if you are so fortunate as to be able to do this and are looking for some great ideas this book will more than fit the bill. I love the use of recycles materials, my favorites being the drop down bar. I'm storing a few of these ideas away for later. Just in case I one day get my own She Shed.… (más)

How many people actually do this?

I had no idea that She Sheds were a thing, yet here we have the follow-on book to the one Ms Kotite gave us in early 2017. She Sheds are workrooms or cozy spaces out in the garden, the feminine alternative to the man cave. Sheds can be repurposed outbuildings or something prefab that you buy and then modify.

Heating, natural air flow, mosquito control (!) and preventing interior mold must have been discussed in the first book because they aren't mentioned here. I can't imagine spending this much time and money for a smallish outdoor room that could only be used in good weather. In the places I live the sheds and everything in them would be mildewed in a week and freezing cold in the winter.

If you have time and money to do this kind of project, you can get your ideas just as easily online.
