This book is so gorgeous! I love the illustrations - they're so colourful and happy. Edmund is an adventurous little ball of yarn with a cute little face who learns that adventure is great but so is coming back home. The yarn world is much too adorable. There are balls of yarn, and buttons, and tape dispensers, and jars of glitter all hanging out and adventuring together. The art gallery has lots of yarn-inspired art and busts of famous yarn people. There were a few really beautiful and colourful triptychs showing Edmund traveling and unraveling. Plus the story was lovely which is a nice bonus :)… (más)

I like this book and it’s message, but it’s a bit odd. I thought based on the illustrations on the cover and throughout, that it was a pair of feet attached to one body. Nope. Each leg is independent of the other (kind of). One is strait laced, clean, and neat. The other likes to be wild and crazy. But an accident will make one side see that the other side is not so bad.

Les & Ronnie Step Out is an entertaining friendship tale, one which uses an unusual pair - two feet - to explore ideas about individual character and personality and getting along with those who are a little different from us. Children will appreciate the humor in this story, and will be entertained by the colorful, amusing artwork. Recommended to anyone looking for friendship stories for the picture-book set, especially if they prefer somewhat quirky examples of the tale type.… (más)

Edmund is a curious ball of yarn that loves to explore, however when he does he becomes unraveled. The further he gets from home, the longer it takes for his parents to pull him back together and get him back home. I found this book to be a beautiful metaphor for children in the real world, even though they have the need to explore, sometimes you need to find your way back home before you completely "unravel". While home can be different things for different people, little Edmund knows that home with his parents and friends is where he will always end up before the world gets to be too much.… (más)
