Eric Knowles

Eric Knowles was born in Nelson, Lancashire, England in 1953. His first job was in engineering before he left for the field of antiques, a love of which he had inherited from his parents. He worked his way up at Bonham's, an auction house in London, from 1975, when he started as a porter, to 1985 mostrar más when he was given a full directorship which included responsibility for the company's lalique glass sales. Knowles has been active in multi-media, contributing his expertise to BBC radio's "Jimmy Young Show," BBC Homes and Antiques Magazine, as well as to television. His books include Discovering Antiques: A Guide to the World of Antiques and Collectibles (1996), Art Deco (1991) and many of the miller's antique price guide series on Victoriana, Art Noveau, and more.
