I almost don't know what to day about this story. The writing was okay with some humorous interjections at the beginning. BUT there was no emotion, no connection with the characters, an almost brutal disregard for safety (no condoms) and very rough sex. O top of it all the main character, Michael, seduces a married man without even considering the potential consequences or moral implications.

Not a story I can recommend.

This is my first book by Kris Klein and even if I was curious about this (for me) new author, I was a little weary concerned about the genre: from what I could gather around the web on Kris Klein he is of that category of authors with a very explicit content, for sure more erotica than romance, and yes, I like my erotica, but I like also when it’s tinted a bit with a pastel tone, more than the rich color that usually distinguishes this genre.

Now for sure, A Wet Dream on Elm Street, both from the title than the initial content (a lot of pu**y, f**k and similat around) is not light on the x-rated content, but, all in all, it’s more talking than doing, and the story of Tony and Scott, best friends since they were 9 years old, who acknowledge their mutual feelings only when they reach almost 30 years old, is more romantic than erotic, and it has a very old fashioned happily ever after.

Tony was the All American jock, cheerleader girlfriend, white collar job right out of high school, married too soon and tired of it soon after. Tony’s wife, Tracy, was the one who pulled the strings of everything, and Tony has never questioned her. Now life between them is not perfect, sex maybe is still good, but Tony really doesn’t care what will happen, he has no interest in trying to mend it. Interesting that instead, when there is the chance to break up with Scott, is best friend, then Tony will fight with everything, and with himself, to save the friendship and maybe more.

Accidentally, Tony finds out that Scott is gay; more than the moral issues, even if his first reaction is to be disgusted, Tony feels betrayed since his best friend didn’t partake with him this important side of his life; having him hide such important part of his life makes everything they shared not important, and since Scott is a great part of Tony’s life, suddenly it’s like nothing matter of what he did or achieved.

That is probably the most interesting thing of this novella, that behind the apparently naughty story, there is a sensitive and romantic point, that for me, made all the sex disappear.
