Phyllis Kilbourn is founder of Rainbows of Hope and CCTI, both global ministries of WEC International serving children in crisis. She is a child advocate, trauma trainer and author/editor of a number of handbooks focused on interventions for children in crisis. Phyllis also served in Liberia and mostrar más Kenya with WEC International. She holds a PhD in education from Trinity International University (Illinois) and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Asbury Theological Seminary for her work on behalf of the world's children. mostrar menos

Phyllis KIllbourn gives the theological and historical perspective of the girl child. She does a beautiful job giving the Biblical truth about how much God values the girl child. She says that when we know God's perspective on his creation and learn to value the girl, it will govern the way we personally treat her, reinforce our appeals as advocates; and strenthen our supplications to God for her. Not only does Ms. Killbourn, expound on the tragedies of the little ones, but she gives cause for hope in a future for our world. Some of the same information as Half the Sky, however, Phyllis Killbourn offers a theological and historical perspective on the hurdles confronting the girl child. Christ provides hope, He is the core of all strategies. Educate the church by using gender inclusive language, make children the focus of the Great Commission.
