This is from Allmark's short-lived series of famous battles, probably in answer to Osprey's growing success.
The Flodden volume offers somewhat less in the way of black and white illustration than Osprey, but the historical narrative is every bit as good as Osprey's best. The campaign is laid out, the battle is explained, as are the consequences of Scotland's crushing defeat. There is an excellent selection of color plates of troops from both sides, as well as an very handy accompaniment of banners.
Worth having if you can find it.… (más)
