Blood and Honor is the story of a young boy’s (appx. age 8-14) experience under the reign of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. Reinhold Kerstan gives an honest portrayal of the mind battles he endured as a result of the intense propaganda of the Nazi regime.

I enjoyed the book. I had never considered how much the teachings of the Hitler Youth were in conflict with Christianity. It was interesting to see how the author was always drawn to Christianity. I had never realized how many terrible things some Hitler Youth witnessed.

Amazing and very fascinating story of a young boy trying to remain a Christian and also try to win the respect of his peers in the Hitler youth. A very interesting tale and a interesting perspective of WWII from an unusual source. Worth a read.

A memoir of a boys struggle with his Christians walk and his love of country (Germany under Hitler). It is a powerful story of family and faith.

The author struggles to reconcile his biblical love of the Jews (the heroes of the faith: Abraham, Moses, David) and friendship with children and his family doctor with the virulent anti-Semitism of the Nazis.

This is a super quick read.
