In order to read this novel, I had to borrow it, since it does not seem to be available anymore.

I gather this novel was published in 2011 as erotica (and was later banned from Amazon), but I would sooner tag it horror than erotica. This is not a palatable, sexy story, it is a horrifying story.
It is a disturbing text which portrays disturbing events. It is kidnapping, captivity and repeated rape that is being portrayed here. There's page after page of graphic rape in fact, and all of it described with varying levels of detail in a rather clinical, factual tone of voice. It's this detachment in the narrative voice that keeps the text on the readable side, if just barely.
This is not one of those texts where the bad guy is really a likeable guy once you get to know him, it is not one of those texts where the girl starts to 'love' the guy because he is actually quite skilled with sex and makes her come so good, etc etc, like so many more recent novels with a kidnap premise resort to to make the story erotica.
For this the author deserves a compliment, in my opinion. It does offer a unique and original voice in the kidnap and captivity genre. In that sense, this text is 'nice' and 'refreshing' to read, but only in that sense.
