Tracy Kane is the author and illustrator of the award-winning Fairy Houses Series. Her books encourage children to build their own fairy houses from natural materials. In each book she combines her love of nature with a touch of fairy magic. For more than 15 years, she has inspired schools, mostrar más libraries, and many other groups through her workshops and events. She works with communites to develop fairy house tours that benefit local non-profit organizations. Tracy majored in illustration at Philadelphia College of Art. She also studied in London. Fairy Houses Series
Love this series of books,so clever and cute.
Those of us old enough to remember Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys will recognize that 'feel' in this story. It is wholesome, not too deep, but with distinct characters and a plot that moves along. The illustrations are well placed, but the story is worthy of stronger imagery with a little more "mystery" to them (e.g., elements that help the reader, but only if you spend time looking at them. The illustrations from the picture book in this series are much stronger.
Pros: A wholesome, not-so-predictable story perfect for newly independent mystery lovers.
