Richard Kadrey is a freelance writer. He is the author of dozens of stories, plus numerous novels, including: the Sandman Slim Series, Metrophage, and Butcher Bird. Kadrey created and wrote the Vertigo comics mini-series ACCELERATE. This book is true to form... If you like the other Sandman Slim books you will like this one too.

This book develops the Sandman Slim character, it goes into how he deals with loss, in more ways than one. It is interesting, well paced, and makes sense within the universe Richard Kadrey created.
If you like supernatural mystery noir, this is the series for you. It has it all... humor, blasphemy, sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, and a tougher than nails protagonist with a heart of gold underneath his impenetrable exterior.… (más)

It took me about 1/3rd of the book to get into it, but I think it also took that long for the book to find out what it wanted to do. I’m glad I kept going. This is another great addition to the Sandman Slim series.

I don't think this genre is for me. If you like the Doom Patrol series, this is similar... absurdist humor, but with a Mike Hammer type story, similar to a Christopher Moore in style. Which you would think would be right up my alley... but it just isn't.
