Super Thrilling and Suspenseful..................
The Vanishing of Class 3B by Jackie Kabler is an incredible mystery thriller. A school bus full of students vanish into thin air without a clue. All the parents are baffled. The plot is so interesting that you would not be able to take your eyes off. You can literally feel the tension while reading. Bit by Bit the plot unfolds with each character under suspicion. I just could not wait to finish the book to know the real culprit. And, it is sure that you would not find a thriller like this.

Definitely 5 stars for the book. Thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and Netgalley for providing me with an opportunity to read and review the book.

Thank you Netgalley, Harper Impulse and Killer Reads, and Jackie Kabler for this Advanced Copy in exchange for an honest review.

Gemma has it all...a new home in a beautiful city, a loving husband, the amazing job and nothing but perfection as far as the future is concerned.

She loves her job as a freelance journalist and at times needs to travel for short bursts of time. When she goes out of town this weekend, her husband Danny promises to welcome her home with a home cooked meal. Wow, she really lucked out finding the perfect husband. She finally finishes her business and after a long trip back, she finds her house .....empty. Where's Danny??

Days and weeks go by without a word from him. Confusion, Fear, Sadness and Anger are all emotions she is feeling. How could he do this to her??

The police aren't much help, there seems to be a serial killer that is killing people that look just like Danny!

Just how angry was Gemma that Danny would disappear like that without as much as goodbye. Angry enough to punish him??

I really liked this book as it kept me interested throughout. I would like to see this as a first book of a series and I was left with questions about the ending.

From start to finish, this book was superb.

My favorite part of this story was its consistency. From the beginning, and all the way through to the end, the author manages to drop in just enough of a hint or plot point to keep you engaged. There are no dragging moments where you're just in it for the end result.

Throughout the story line, I was second guessing my predictions and wondering if I was being led on in the wrong direction. Was I being told to look right when the story was going left? Is this person as sane as they think they are, or are we being given a normal narrative from an insane character? You never find out until the end.

The author did a fantastic job filling out each character without bogging you down with details. No character was too minor or insignificant. You could recall each person with familiarity, even if their role was small.

Jackie Kabler has written the epitome of a psychological thriller.

Many thanks to NetGalley for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

A truly horrifying scenario, this story will have you cringing with every page turn. What starts out as an uplifting and promising timeline, quickly turns south, with one dramatic event after another. While the story is readable with an appealing plot, the minutiae of the day to day transactions and relationships becomes tedious and irritating. Most of the time you find yourself wishing the main character would get her act together and quit being so hysterical, then maybe she could actually figure out what was going on. Not to mention the excessive drinking that doesn’t help her out, at all, during the entire sequence of events. I feel like much of what was happening could have been prevented with clearer thinking and decent detective work.

An advanced copy of this book was sent to me by the publisher. The opinions are my own.
