Fairy tale that is similar to the story of Cinderella in which I have already heard, but with a few twist. in style, and the settings and actions have been altered, Interesting and beautifully illustrated.

This is the classic fairytale story of Cinderella. This Cinderella follows the same plot as the classic. A girl is forced to live with her step mother and step sisters after her mother passed away. She then goes to the ball and meets the handsome prince. When the clock struck midnight, she has to walk home but she leaves her shoe behind. The prince goes around the village to try and fine the owner of the shoe. This version of Cinderella seems to be set in the early 1900s because of the illustrations. The illustrations looks very antique and old fashioned. As I was reading, I thought that the illustrations were off from the classic Cinderella fairytale but then I think I am so used to the classic fairytale and how those illustrations were. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers who are interested in reading other versions of Cinderella.… (más)

Very classic tale. I love the illustration. Everyone has heard of Cinderella but this version that I read is more of a 16th century theme'd Cinderella. The Cinderella books and movies that I have seen are more magical while this one is more of an actual story (besides the magic scene's) This book just does not portray that magical story that I knew but made it more of an actual story that occurred.
