What a wonderful book to read on the eve of my birthday! Theo, the Brit and Bonnie, the American are interesting, saucy, romantic, intelligent main characters. Even the secondary characters, including all their friends, are interesting. It may be true that the ending is predictable, but I love the way the story progresses, and how I never wanted to really put the book down at any point from any page. I wanted to know MORE! Some books that share cultural dialect without explanation can be hard to read. Any unfamiliar terminology in this story was easy understood, based on a well-developed context to present it. I think that most of us who have experienced any kind of romance, especially in the earliest stages, will be enthralled by the reminders or thrilled by action described. And, as far as romance virgins, they may learn a lot more than they anticipated by reading this romance thriller! I loved the themes of strong women, love conquers all (yes, I'm sappy!), consensual sexual activity and love across barriers. I didn't realize this was part of a series. Now, I want to go back and read all the books. Heck, I want to read anything Melonie writes. She is a very talented romance author. Romance books have come a LONG way since Harlequin. I wish my mom was alive to share this book with her.… (más)

#FirstLine ~ "Why is there a crocheted penis lying on the floor?" Kat Kowalski demanded.

From that hilarious first line to the very last, this book was a delight. I loved the characters, especially the animal ones. I love that Johnson has expertly created a cast of characters that entertain and amuse. I adore rom coms when they are done right and Johnson has knocked it out of the park with this story. She develops the story slowly, adding depth and layers, created a bond with the characters and reader. Such a great story!!!! A must read!!!… (más)
