The book has helped me remember some things and learn some things about where I have recently chosen to live. I love living on Vashon Island, just off Seattle in Puget Sound and I like living in an area that tends left in it's politics. I am not, however, at all happy about how the racists and misogynists of America got us here.
This book is intended to be a textbook treatise on the area and as such covers a lot of ground in one volume. That doesn't make it bad, it makes it cursory.
