What a great freaking show! To down load this just right mouse click on the song file (windows) or click and hold (Mac) then select "save file as" to a folder or desktop of your choice. For those of you that do not know about SHN files, read below.

This is a three disk set. break the files as follows:

0 = Disk One

2 = Disk Two

3 = Disk Three

4 = There is no four

This is as complete and unedited as was recorded .

As promised, we are making the show available to you as a digital download. Now I don?t know how much you know about downloads, or even if you have a computer that can make a CD. If you are a complete computer virgin, just write me back (news@ctaccessbb.com). We will figure something out. If you have a computer and just never did anything like this before, you are about to enter a whole new world of musical access.

Now if you know about SHN and MP3 files, you can just start downloading. If not, please read on while I try to walk you through the process. This is easy so don?t freak out.

It is better if you have a high speed internet connection, but dial up folks can just leave the computer to do it?s job while you are sleeping. It will take a pretty long time, maybe hours (depending on your connection speed.) Don?t worry though, you will get everything while you slumber through the night.

Now there are two kinds of downloads. MP3 and SHN files. MP3 files are smaller and are easy to load into a MP3 player like an i-pod, however some folks feel that MP3 files are not as clean as SHN files (most people will not hear the difference between the high quality MP3 files we provide and a SHN ?especially in a car or through computer speakers). SHN files are loss less files. They do not ?compress? the music the way MP3 files do, but they require software for your computer to decode them. The software is free and pretty easy to figure out.

A couple of A Deck folks have a really good explanation of how to deal with SHN files and also how to break into the world of shared music at our web site. It is in the Alexandrian Library at www.jeffersonstarshipsf.com.

Your efforts to educate yourself will translate into hours of pure joy. Trust me here. A little effort will mean a lot of fun.

Now if you do not have a CD Recorder, my first instinct is for you to buy one. CDs are a great way to save stuff from your computer when it eventually melts down (it is going to happen). If you are 100% clueless, talk to some kids or go to a Computer Store and ask questions. If you can drive a car you can burn a CD (uh, they call recording a CD burning a CD because it involves light, not fire.)

Those of you that are sort of familiar with CD recording will be OK with the MP3 files we have and will not have to worry about the SHN files. Just make a folder and download them. If you want to get the SHN decoder and do all that, just follow the links or get the program I have provided (Windows or Mac) through this site. I did not write the damn thing so please read the help files to try to correct any problems you might have (it is real easy, I did it while chewing gum! not actual gum, but a sort of liquid hybrid for the mentally confused ). The one program I use is drag and drop, wicked easy. Just take the files and drop them on the thing-instant music. Easy.

If you don?t really know how to work a computer, here is your chance to find a reason to learn. I actually love and hate these contraptions. The great thing is that the web and these tools give us an opportunity to talk to people all over the world. If you take the time to learn these skills, you will find that the doors of communication will open wider for you.
