Jessica is in a traumatic accident that causes her to lose all of her memories. She battles between the new her and the girl she used to be. Jess feels comfortable around her little brother Stephen but does not know how to act around the rest of her family and friends. Overall the book kept my attention but there was not any huge revelations or crazy secrets that kept me turning the page.

This was a very interesting book, especially how unlike most 'amnesia' books it delved deeper into the life that Jessica after her accident and deeper into the process that she has to move on with life.

It was intriguing how the St. Jean made Jessica feel like she was invading her own life even though it was hers to begin with. What also added to it was how in her mind she named her family and friends in third person which added to the gravity of the situation.

I really felt for Jessica in this book. The author really made you feel connected to the character and the pain she had to go through. To not even know your own family?! That's a horrible feeling. I liked the story a lot and I know my daughter will enjoy it in a few years.

Blank by Trina St. Jean is one of the better books written for teens that I have read in a while. Jessica, the main character, has lost her memory due to a tragic accident at her family's bison farm. The book tells about how she deals with this loss and the possibility of never regaining her past. I felt the character was portrayed very realistically. I as the reader was drawn into her story and was made to truly care about her and her struggle. I would recommend this book with no reservations.
