In the summer of 1830 Lord Ambrose is back from the wars of Greek independence recovering from his injuries when a double murder occurs at a farm near his estate. It becomes his duty to investigate.
An enjoyable easy to read tale and I look forward to reading about the characters in the next book.

Can he save her from her fate.
An enjoyable though slow-paced mystery story, with its very likeable main characters.… (más)

He soon receives a letter from Elizabeth detailing her unease of the place and the death of Sir Antony Jesmond's physician Doctor Kelsoe. Ambrose decides to investigate.
Another enjoyable and well-written mystery with its very likeable cast of characters

1835 So how does Lord Ambrose Malfine find himself next to the ruined castle of Pribyslav. Well it started with a dinner party, and an expensive diamond necklace which proves to be a fake.
One concern is although the story is set in 1835 Queen Victoria is mentioned a few times, otherwise an entertaining historical story.
