The writing and prescience of Ivins are both superb. Her descriptions of alcoholism and mental illness were not politically correct, but she foresaw very well the state of the United States many years after many of these essays were written.

As always, Molly is a delight. From the perception of 2021, she is scary in her predictions and prognostications for the political future. So many things she makes note of appearing in her time have bloomed into full blown horror for the country.

Every bad thing has gotten worse, every warning went unheeded.
