A Gebra named Al is an astounding book to use for middle grade students. Not only are you able to use this book for Mathematics class, but also use it in Science class. Julie is struggling with her math homework as she falls asleep she wonders off into the land of mathematics where she meets different types of animals that represent different things. Such as Al who is a gebra with math equations as stripes, and horses that represent different elements of the periodic table. She goes on an adventure with her new found friends to the mathematician’s castle, so she can go back home. On this adventure she learns the basic foundations of mathematics and science, as well as knowing a lot more than she thinks she does.
