Great advert on back cover - Oldridge's balm of Columbia...hair, whiskers, or, moustaches. Wonderful front cover design, daisies mingled with leaves, title, author, publisher overprinted or so it seems. The book is in The Daisy Books series,
There's a review on Goodreads that says one of the interesting theological points in this book is the contention that each plague was directed against on of the Egyptians' major gods, showing that Israel's God had the ascendancy. Partly for this reason, I decided to keep the book. Other reviews indicate that it will take a great many pages of (seriously outdated after 160 additional years of archaeological scholarship) ethnological and historical detail to get as far as the plagues, so I guess I'm committed to a long term relationship with the book.… (más)
