It's a cute little book for teenagers with some poetry and graphic art. The drawings are better than than poetry. It would make a nice gift.

Alien creatures, vampires... monsters, that is what this story is built around. It's an interesting look at culture in Texas between the Civil War and the start of WWI as well. It's a time of invention, fear, racial tension, primitive medical procedures and adventure. This is ultimately the story of monsters and those caught in their pursuit. I would like to see this one interpreted to the silver screen.
