The footy coach from hell por Michael Hyde

Bernie the old under 14s footy coach is ill in hospital and the club appoints the awful Mr Black as his substitute. He makes them run laps, cycle many kms a week, but worst of all singles out the fatter and slower kids for “special treatment” and picks on the few girl players. Soon it is hard to fill the side as kids drop out. What can the remaining kids do to get rid of the footy coach from hell?p.22 –24Sam gets hit in the face with the ball.

Zeta is Sam’s first girlfriend and now the Year 8 has lost her to “Shades” the cool Year 10 boy who is a drummer in a rock band. Sam does many embarrassing things in an effort to win her back – poetry, tattoos and running into a pole! But he and his best mate Barney’s scheme to include the hapless Matilda to make Zeta jealous is scraping the bottom of the barrel!
