Maybe (and a very big maybe at that) if you've never cooked in your life and you want to be hip but this cookbook was just worthless to me. No good recipes (and several I've found in other places that were much easier to make with simpler ingedients) and too much focus on fake understanding of "health". There are better cookbooks out there so don't waste your money on this.
I sat down and read this in one afternoon - cover to cover, actually exclaiming out loud over many of the recipes. I couldn't put it down and can't wait to try many of these recipes. Beautiful photos, creative recipes, honest and personable prose. I really liked Hunt's perspective of good-for-you (but not too good for you) food. No ingredients are considered "bad" when used in moderation. From the appetizers, to the breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts - yummy food you'll feel good eating (as it says on the back of the book). Lots of gluten- and dairy-free recipes, vegan, vegetarian, and plenty for meat-eaters, too. It would have been perfect if nutritional information was included (calories, protein, etc.) but that's my only complaint. Here's to "Healthyish" eating!… (más)
