I really enjoyed the writing style. Right up front, he mentions that his version of Celtic would not include any Irish tradition and would focus only on Welsh. Though I follow the Irish tradition, this book forced me to expand into that side of Celtic beliefs.

I found this book very enlightening. It was beautifully written and gave great insights into the process of dying and bereavement. I was drawn to this book for various reasons - I am interested in Druids, other people's view of death, and also I will be with a dear friend when her time comes to pass. I particularly loved the description of Druid rituals which I found comforting and inspiring. Kristoffer's reasons for doing the job he does was not macabre in any way and the respect and kindness he shows in dealing with the dead and their relatives was also inspiring. There was a lot in the book and I intend to read it again. It's one of those books that comes to mind every now and then.… (más)
