Holy Hannah!! I can't tell you how much I loved Matthew and Karli's story!! What started out as a contentious start, to say the least, ends up being the best thing that happened to these two!
A not-so secret office romance, then, as usual, the man screws up and loses the girl. But, wait until you see what he does to get her back. EPIC!! I love it when a man grovels!
Oh, and if you don't think Die Hard is a Christmas movie, you will after you read this!!

Really?? How come everyone liked this book so much while I found it so annoying?
First of all, right from the start, the main characters didn't win me over and I just couldn't get into them as a couple either.
Mostly though what annoyed me so much was the rushed way their relationship went...how could you be in love with someone you pretty much don't know? They didn't talk at all during their brief (and mostly sexual) encounters!! Come on..

Oh, these two are just combustible!! If there were ever two people who were truly crafted for one another, it is Penn and Campbell. Hands down.
These two were like starting a fire with sticks. The back and forth, creating all that friction, until BOOM!! - there's that fire!! OMG Penn is so commanding and oh, so dirty. And Campbell just loves every minute of it!! She seems to be the one that always has to be in control, and when Penn takes over, she's more than willing to submit!!
They have as much fire when arguing as they do between the sheets! But even a hot love story has to have a moment of conflict, right? Well this one sends Penn for a loop and as most men in these stories do, he screws it up. Can he fix it, now that he hurt her so badly?

I went into this story really liking the blurb and the premise of the story. There were several moments that I liked but there were others that just had me shaking my head. I didn't understand how someone that is so smart would make "payments" toward something, nor did I understand the way the end of a dream happened. Surely, there could have been a better option in the long run, or family or someone to help navigate until things got smoother.
As much as I wanted to I just couldn't connect with the story, and trust me, I wanted to connect.
