Now, I already own a great many gardening books which I have collected over the years - enough to fill a tall bookshelf I am sure. What made me fork out my hard earned pennies for yet another tome was the layout which is clear and concise (no more than 100-150 words per plant. No distracting colour photographs either. It 'is' illustrated, but with elegant black line drawings. Packed with handy tips and tricks on building good frames and supports, weed control, cures for pests and diseases; and best practices for harvesting and storing your crops. As well as tips on preparation and cooking.
Back to basics, good old fashioned 'no nonsencse' gardening from the 1970s that makes the same sense today.… (más)
