The first collection with "Sally Forth"'s new illustrator. MacIntosh actually does a fine job of matching Greg Howard's style, even improving on it a little. Sally has never looked better. And the level of humor is consistent, mature, and idea-driven.

I'm constantly amazed at Greg Howard's ability to mine humor so effectively from such a small cast of characters. I also love Sally's sense of humor, and find her and her secretary Marcie two of the sexier women in American family comic strips, weird as that may seem.

The artwork has progressed to something like its current form by now, and the humor is just as mature and clever. The humor flows naturally from the family situation, with Sally as a working mother with a demanding career and a child and a husband who could perhaps help out a little more, but is basically willing to make an attempt to learn. Also, I love the name, "Sally Forth".

The first collection of "Sally Forth", which started out as a feminist strip with a two-income family with one child. The artwork here is a bit more primitive than the later smoother look, but the humor is just as clever and pointed, and I like the strip quite a lot. I'm also amazed at how Greg Howard has been able to keep up such a high standard of consistency for twenty years with such a small cast. With a few minor characters, it's Sally, Ted and Hilary, and that's it.
