This fantasy novel tells the story of a girl playing outside. Her grandfather said she was confused because she was covered with dust and leaves. He told her that he had never been so dirty when she was so big. The hands of the clock began to spin backward, and her grandfather began to grow younger and younger. This is a good example of a fantasy book because a normal watch will not have the magic to make the time return. However, the magic watch makes the grandpa in the story become younger and younger and finally become a little boy. As a grandpa, he wants his granddaughter to be clean. However, when he was little, he often made himself messy. This story reminds adults their childhood and comforts children with the truth that their parents are the same with them. This fantasy book tells the story of a young girl named Sally who comes in from playing outside and is told by her Granddad that she is a mess because she is covered in dirt and leaves. He tells her that he never got so dirty when he was her age, and Sally tries winding up his watch. She winds it the wrong way, and the hands on the clock start spinning backwards, and her grandpa starts getting younger and younger. Once he reaches the age of a young boy Sally's age, the setting changes and he and Sally are in a street in olden times, when he was a young boy. They go to a junkyard and make a castle out of the junk, then make a dragon too. They play imaginary games and get lots of dirt on them from the trash. Then, Sally's young granddad is taken away by his dad, who gets upset that he is so dirty. Sally then finds herself on her Granddad's lap again, and he is sleeping. He wakes up and tells her that she looks cleaner, and that he never got so messy when he was young. She smiles, and asks if he got his scar from playing in the junkyard when he was little, and he says yes.… (más)

In this Modern Fantasy, a young girl names Sally was outside playing, when her grandfather called her in. She was a mess, and her grandfather was trying to clean her up saying "I never was this messy when I was a kid". While she was being cleaned up, she grabbed her grandfathers watch and accidentally wound it backwards. This changed her grandfather into a little kid again! She was excited to have a friend to play with, and together they went to the junk yard to play and use their imaginations to build a castle and fight dragons. Eventually, a man came into the junk yard and told her grandfather that he needed to leave.
