Before I Go to Sleep por Thomas Hood

This story is about a little boy who puts his imagination to work while he tries to avoid sleep. I really like the rhyming aspect of this book. Many children can relate to daydreaming, and it is a good way to work rhyme and poetry into the classroom. I would classify this book in the genre of contemporary poetry. Though it was written during the early 19th century the story is still relevant for children today. I can see using this book to begin a creative writing assignment or an art project where children can really get creative.… (más)
