A great book about a young woman who is trying to save her plantation. She hires indentured servant, Connor to rebuild her house. He falls in love with her but she is hesitant to consider him as a spouse. Nolan, a nearby plantation owner wants Breeze Hill and the road leading to it. He has discovered that he can rob people traveling the road. Isabella is sure that Connor is only using her so that he can bring his four brothers to America. As he tries to prove his love accidents start happening to the people of Breeze Hill. Leah, Isabella's sister in law has a baby and Isabella decides to marry Nolan to ensure the baby's future. I loved this story, so typical, we often don’t see what is right before our eyes.
Annabelle Denson has been dreaming forever, of seeing a white Christmas, and now the chance has presented itself with an invite from her cousin in Illinois. She is a new teacher and the school will be closed for three weeks for the Holiday.
