Published © April 9,2017. This is study of how attitudes in Germany and Austria towards war were manipulated and sometimes altered by the German print media prior to WWI. A "why were the Germans like that?” book. One could use this book to launch a comparative study of the print media in the western world prior to WWI. It is the third book in this area by Mark Hewitson, who teaches in London. The maps are adequate, but not pretty.
