Aileen Kilgore Henderson

Author served in WAC between 1944 and 1945 and was assigned to an Army Air Force Base in the U.S. She worked as one of six female airplane mechanics at Ellington Air Force Base and then as a photo lab technician. She also discusses the public criticism she and other WACs felt as they assumed non-traditional roles.
