Not a great read. I honestly could not make it through without skimming large sections, which is rare for me. The dialogues are stiff and the plot is a short story stretched out into a novel. Pass.

The authors lost weight by counting their carbs, and allowing themselves to have treats along the way that were not too damaging to the loss of weight. Unlike the Atkins diet, this one does not require super-human strength of resolve. Unhappily, it also allows for easy rationalizations and weight re-gain.
