It does what it says on the tin: This is the chess book for people to read once they have understood the general rules and concepts of the game, before they move on to a more serious study of tactics, end games or openings. The aim is to help improve board vision. The book is excellent for people at that level, though only a very quick read for more experiences players.
It will probably also win a prize for the most God awful cover ever put on a book. ;-)
