SO SO CUTE. This Valentine’s Day themed rom-com was such a delight. Eliza, a cupid, is the daughter of two cupids, and the twin of Elijah, a cupid who helps in the family business and is the perfect son. Eliza, unfortunately, has a super-powerful gift that seems to always malfunction, causing random strangers to fall in love with her every time she’s clumsy and trips into them. (Trust me, it’s cute.)

For years, she’s shied away from anything with red hearts or chocolate, but after a family emergency, she knows she has to step in and join the family love business. This was SO FUNNY, sexy, and just cute, as Eliza struggles to find her way, find her powers, and discovers Jake, the guy she’s had a crush on all along may be more than enchanted with her. Bonus points for cute animal scenes including pigs and sea lions!! So funny!

Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader.

A cute book about Descendants more specifically Descendants of Eros. Eliza Herman comes from a family of Cupids. She is the absolute worst cupid in the world. She accidentally enchants people all the time from the greeting card aisle to playground classmates at a young age to her parents throughout her childhood. When the family business Herman and Herman, a matchmaking company is in dire straights Eliza steps up to help out. A new law states that she needs to have her license to practice love enchantments to even answer the phone. That's what she does with the help of her childhood crush/best friend Jake Sanders.

Like everything else in life, nothing is easy for Eliza. She is beginning to believe that true love is in fact real--because she feels it for Jake. But a conspiracy theory is brewing that might just be accurate. Eliza must prove it. In order to prove it, she also has to prove that her enchantments worked. After all, she is one of the most powerful and a special type of cupid. To prove it, she risks her relationship with Jake including his trust as well as both their lives.

Crazy Cupid Love is a goofy contemporary fantasy rom-com with some Greek Mythology thrown in. The Erosians (descendents of Cupid/Eros) told the world about themselves back in the 1960's, and joined the ranks of other highly taxed and service industries. Eliza, a failed Cupid, has a gift so strong that she can enchant people without trying. It's caused her all sorts of trouble before the book starts, and doesn't stop.

When her father is hospitalized and her brother takes off for a month-long training/conference to try to save the family business, Eliza steps up to try to help out. Unfortunately for everyone, this means getting her Cupid license. And since her mentor isn't allowed to be a family member and her lifelong crush Jake is back in town... who better to step in and help her learn the ropes?

All sorts of hijinx ensue. There's a stolen pig, a rowdy bar with live mermaids, a "mandroid," a slimy arch-rival... It's a rollercoaster. If you're interested in that sort of thing, it's a light, fun read with tons of possible sequel opportunities. If you want a book that examines love and emotions on a deeper level, this is not the book for you.

Given the entire premise of enchantment, there is some interesting discussion of consent, and I liked the way that Heger worked with the concept and the execution to make sure the book was funny and felt safe to read. The sexy bits aren't until more than halfway through the book, and I believe it's only two scenes.

Overall, a unique rom-com and first in a series I look forward to continuing.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review via Edelweiss.

Crazy Cupid Love by Amanda Heger

Wickedly adorable. Capital L - Loved it. Paranormal romance.
Cupids are out in the open and getting paid to put their spells of enchantment on wanna-be lovers worldwide.
Filled with wordy humor and tongue-in-cheek lines, this romance tickled me quite often throughout the parody of this new world. Other Descendants (Disney or Greek Gods?) are still hidden from the human population. There is a Descendant bar scene at Dionysus that I would love to revisit. I can bet Quinn has a story she wants told.
The accidental enchantment of the orange Ford mustang named Ron Weasley is ambrosial.
The world building is unique and filled to the BRIM with descriptive objects and rules.

Overall, while it was long in word count, it was a delight to read.

Thanks to @SourcebooksCasa for a paperback ARC.
