Clara Montgomery accidentally finds herself fake-dating a super famous actor named Caspian Tiddleswitch (who is based on exactly who that sounds like he would be based on). An amazing fake dating enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance. A pure delight!
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I picked up this book, but I wasn't expecting to have SO much fun.
Because, this book? It's F-U-N.
It's the perfect "step in a mud pit and dig your way out of it awkward" fun.
The dialogue is snappy and funny, the back and forth is awkward and delicious.
Seriously, this is the perfect beach read. Or stuck in the house because the kids are sick and you need a break read.

The first chapter or so I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book. Happily I was wrong. Once I got into it I really liked it. Clara sounds like someone I'd like to be friends with, Cici too! Caspian can be a little annoying, but once you know why, it's not as bad. Quick read, perfect for a beach read.

Loved this- it's only the second romance novel I've read this year, and I am getting more and more positive that this book is what is spurring me on.
The whole premise of regular gal ending up with a celebrity because of unusual circumstances- pulled me right in. Add in the fact that she worked in publishing and it was right up my alley. Clara loses her job in as a book editor, has to move in with her brother and ends up taking a job cleaning out storage units- yuck.
A series of events lead her to a famous guy, and she ends up "fake dating" him- which turns into real dating- which made me laugh out loud. This is hilarious and real and perfect for reading at the beach this summer.… (más)
