Working my way through episodes of "The Great British Bake-Off", I was inspired to pick this up. It is a compact, clearly-written reference on bread-making basics, with instructive, manageably clear descriptions of all phases: the science, the techniques, equipment, storage, trouble-shooting. Once I try some recipes, I may re-rate; for now, this is an excellent armchair-cooking experience.

Has a different and *AWESOME* Baklava recipe that consistently gets raves. Also a really good Ginger Beer recipe --- but those are the only two things I make from this book.
