René Hausman (1936–2016)

The drawings and paintings are as beautiful as usual. Once more René brings us in the legends of Ardennes country. The difference is that this time the "red wire" is one character, "camp-volant", someone who prefers to live free in the forest, but always open to help people and farmers in exchange of a bit of bread. And he's also very kind to tell the old stories to his hosts. The downside is maybe the amount of different little stories sometimes hard to follow or cut a bit too short. But the warm and colorful language of the "country people" René is using is a delight!… (más)
