Uneven quality. There are a couple of invalid arguments in the book---inexcusable in a work of philosophy. The last chapter in particular is a tissue of confusions and doesn't, in fact, deal with the problems described in its title. It's hard to see how the book coheres, since it reads like an arbitrarily-constructed laundry list of interesting problems at the intersection of philosophy and ethics. The public policy implications are left largely to your imagination, which is not really a criticism. This book is best used, I think, as a text book where one can turn for a nice introduction to particular topics in the philosophy of economics, not as a source of enlightenment.… (más)
