The idea of North : the paintings of Lawren Harris por Steve Martin
Beautiful selection of pictures -- Steve Martin has excellent taste. The essays are probably more of interest to serious art buffs, but I did like the essay on Harris's practice of drawing sketches on beaverboard for transferring to a larger canvas later. Recommended if you like the works of the Group of Seven.
The Group of Seven are Canadian artists who combined a love of the Canadian landscape with a modern sensibility. I'm not sure this small format does them justice, but it's a nice reminder of their work, since I don't get to see the originals very often. The text has some interesting insights into their work.
