As most people know, I have a weakness for Cool Runnings so I had to get the book.

This is a cute little book (in poetry format!) that tells the story of the real Jamaican bobsled team as written BY one of the original members! The questions in the back are great for a classroom discussion for upper elementary school students so I'd say it would be a solid addition to any elementary classroom lineup.

This is the story of the first Jamaican bobsled team, but written for a younger audience. It is written with rhyming patterns, bright pictures and a motivating story. It is recommended to any age group. It definitely has a lot of words on each page, so should be a read-aloud if the target audience is younger children.

The main theme is to be determined and never give up on a dream, no matter what other people say.
