Biografía breve
Lynne Hardy is Associate Editor for Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu line.

Lynne discovered roleplaying games back in the mists of time—or the early 1990s, as they’re more commonly known. The second game she ever played was Call of Cthulhu and, after writing and editing for companies such as Nightfall Games, Cubicle 7, and Pelgrane Press, she returned to the non-Euclidian fold to act as the lead writer, editor, and line developer on the multi-award winning Achtung! Cthulhu Kickstarter project for Modiphius Entertainment. With her tentacle-free hat on, she currently edits the Blue Rose RPG line for Green Ronin, and contributed to the award-winning Seven Wonders RPG anthology from Pelgrane Press. She is also the designer of her own ENnie-nominated steampunk game: Cogs, Cakes & Swordsticks.

Lynne doesn’t like horror films much as they’re far too scary, but she is rather fond of tea and fountain pens.

A well written, complex, campaign for Call Of Cthulhu set in World War Two, using the Acthung cthulhu rules and background. Enjoyable, and not necessarily linear, this is a very big undertaking for any prospective keeper. The players won't appreciate the amount of preparation that this will take to present each of the episodes, which I feel need development from what is given in this set of directions. I enjoyed reading it but I can see that playing it will be a lot easier. There are some flaws, I didn't like the way that the whole country that was visited had its history recited before getting into the scenarios themselves. A lot of this the players are never going to discover, it would have been better to use the space to describe hints and aids for the keeper to present the settings, like music, types of NPC's and photos of locations. Overall this is good stuff but does feel like an old fashioned Indiana Jones style of campaign that isn't what Lovecraft would have favoured. It's pulp adventure with Saturday afternoon war film overtones, if you like that sort of thing then this is for you, if you like your cosmic nihilism. Then this is going to leave you cold.… (más)

A very good but not perfect entry into the series. I didn't like what they'd done with the tcho tcho for example. Worthy of a look just not quite as good quality as some of their other products.

A very good, high quality supplement for Achtung Cthulhu looking at the western front. And the North African campaign. Lots of good ideas, stats for the forces involved and a timeline of this most limited of theatres in terms of time. The desert is almost another enemy here and is treated as such with statics it s and rules for environment hazards as well as enemy forces. Very good, will be useful and to be recommended for anyone with an interest in running call of Cthulhu in this era.

A very good supplement accurately capturing the film and nature of the place and people. Very effective at creating an atomosphere and invaluable information about Russian equipment, vehicles, and weapons. It's only let down for me was the cult of Lenin & its surrounding paraphernalia. It would have been better to just ignore this. Overall, don't let this detract, a very good starting point for any Eastern Front campaign, it's only slight let down is the absence of scenarios. Otherwise very good.… (más)
