A cute predictable tale about a cookie-baking, storytelling rat named Bob who is trying to avoid being eaten by the castle cats. A collection of fractured fairytales featuring Bob's ancestors as the main characters. Ideal for young readers.

I was not a big fan of “How to Save Your Tail” because I found it a bit tedious. Several times throughout the novel I found my mind wandering to other things, it just wasn’t captivating for me. I haven’t read any of Mary Hanson’s other works, but would like to see if the writing style is similar. Great book for when you are expecting or have new siblings!
After my daughter was born, we got this book from the library and my son thought it was the funniest book. He was able to relate (from a 5 year old perspective) to this book and his baby sister and how it feels to be an older brother with less attention from Mom & Dad.
I would also recommend Pocket Full of Kisses by Audrey Penn.
