A friend gave me this book along with several others. For all I've learned about Abraham Lincoln in the past, I didn't realize he'd been born in Kentucky and lived there for a few years when young. I was initially excited to read this--then I realized it was in the format of a fictional interview between a fictionalized reporter named Shelby Grider and Abraham Lincoln. I do think the words attributed to Lincoln in the interview are ones he is reported to have spoken (or at least a paraphrase of them).

I did appreciate the chronology at the end and the list of Lincoln related Kentucky sites at the end also. I hope to check out some of them with my Kentucky friend. I am going to share this book with my mom.

A must have reference for anyone wishing to know more about Kentucky's authors, up to about 2003. Very helpful descriptions.
