This is a beginner's-level book that deals with installing OpenLinux, using the KDE graphical desktop, issuing Linux commands, working with files and directories, using text editors, surfing the web, finding help, and more. Troubleshooting helps are scattered throughout the book.

It is assumed that the reader has a computer available on which to install the OpenLinux system that comes on the CD-ROM that can be found in the back of the book.

The book follows a traditional "For Dummies" format. After being introduced to OpenLinux, the reader is taught to install it, use it, and maintain it. Help with hardware issues, man pages, and CD contents can be found in the appendices.… (más)
