Mizuki Hakase

An odd sort of a tale about a 15 year old girl, Chiaki, who thinks she's a medium, but is really something even more rare. She finds out just how unusual she is when she discovers the Demon Prince of Hell, Ororon, wounded and bleeding on the sidewalk. Unable to ignore any creature in need, and certainly not someone as charismatic as Ororon, Chiaki takes him home, leading to the ease of her loneliness, but also an onset of progressively worse troubles.

I thought the basis of the plot and the storyline of this manga to be very well done and, for the most part, well executed. However, there was just something about the artwork that I just didn't like. I can't really pinpoint exactly what it was, but it rubbed me the wrong way. I also got confused by a sudden influx of new side characters near the end.

As usual with manga, this volume left off with a cliffhanger. The story was interesting enough that I think I'll overlook my dislike of the artwork and see if I can get a hold of next volume. This manga is rated 13+ although I think that it should be mentioned that there is a great deal of violence and a couple sexual situations.… (más)
